The monthlong challenge offers participants an active way to recognize the service and sacrifice of veterans, turning Veterans Day into a 30-day-long observance.
“Carry The Load’s 100,000-meter challenge is a unique and meaningful way for people who like to compete and push themselves to move in honor of those who have served,” said Carry The Load Chief Operating Officer Matt Fryman. “The physical effort is small compared with the sacrifices veterans have made for our country, but it offers an active and cathartic way to recognize their service.”
The 100,000-Meter Challenge can be completed from anywhere in the world, individually, with friends, as a community or through a company team. Participants can track their distance in the 100KMC activity log, where the Activity Log In portal automatically calculates their progress.
Registration for the challenge is open at carrytheload.knack.com/2026-100kmc#registration/. Registration costs $10, and participants can use the activity-tracking portal at no additional charge.
“At Government Employees Health Association, supporting the military community means showing up with purpose and turning our commitment into action,” said David Hakanson, President and CEO of G.E.H.A “The Carry The Load 100,000-Meter Challenge gives us a meaningful way to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s military members, veterans and their families. Every meter is a reminder of the commitment they have made to our country and of our responsibility to carry that legacy forward. We’re proud to stand alongside Carry The Load and communities nationwide, where our over 2 million health and dental members live, work and serve.”
